73 test +ve in J&K, 12 in Leh

JAMMU/SRINAGAR/LEH, Jan 24: Seventy three persons today tested positive for COVID-19 while no casualties were reported in Jammu and Kashmir today. Twelve positive cases were reported in Ladakh.
Thirty one new cases were reported in Jammu region including 29 in Jammu district and one each in Udhampur and Kathua while rest of the districts didn’t report any positive case today.
Thirty persons recovered from the virus in the Jammu region, 14 of them in Jammu district.
COVID toll in the region stayed at 719.
Jammu region now has 51421 cases including 404 active positives and 50298 recoveries.
All 12 positive cases in the Union Territory of Ladakh were reported from Leh.
Meanwhile, 42 persons tested positive for COVID-19 in Kashmir today.
Those who tested positive today include 13 cases from Srinagar, Baramulla 3, Budgam 7, Pulwama 3, Kupwara 2, Anantnag 5, Bandipora 2, Ganderbal 5 and Shopian 2.
With fresh cases, Srinagar has 26018 positive cases with 261 active, 25304 recovered, 453 deaths; Baramulla has 8084 positive cases with 51 active, 7860 recovered, 173 deaths; Budgam reported 7751 positive cases with 57 active cases, 7577 recovered, 117 deaths; Pulwama has 5693 positive cases with 61 active, 5544 recovered and 88 deaths; Kupwara has 5642 positive cases with 42 active, 5505 recoveries, 95 deaths; Anantnag district has 4878 positive cases with 50 active, 4744 recovered, 84 deaths; Bandipora has 4687 positive cases with26 active and 4600 recoveries, 61 deaths; Ganderbal has 4594 positive cases with 79 active, 4469 recoveries and 46 deaths; Kulgam has 2689 positive cases with 33 active, 2602 recoveries and 54 deaths while as Shopian has 2562 positive cases with39 active cases, 2484 recoveries and 39 deaths.
Moreover, they said, 73 more COVID-19 patients have recovered and were discharged from various hospitals including 43 from Kashmir valley.
