SAMBA, Dec 27: In continuation to its drive against illegal mining and illegal transportation of construction material, Samba Police seized 7 vehicles including 5 dumpers, 1 tipper and 11 tractor trolley across the district.
Police team of Police Post Mansar while performing vehicle checking duty at naka Mansar seized 2 dumper bearing registration numbers JK14F-0422 and JK02CG-7458, which were illegal transporting construction material (sand).
A police team of Police Station Vijaypur while performing vehicle checking duty at naka Rakh Barotian near AIIMS site seized a dumper bearing registration number JK21F-5586 and a tipper with registration number JK21E-0479 which were also illegal transporting construction material (sand).
Police team of Police Station Samba while performing patrolling duty in its jurisdictional area, seized two dumper bearing registration numbers JK21F-7667 and JK19-2486, a tractor trolley without registration number, which were illegal transporting construction material (sand).
All the 7 vehicles were seized on the spot and cases entrusted to Geology and Mining Department, Samba for further action.
