RAMBAN, May 30: Seven migrant workers were injured when the overcrowded bus they were travelling in turned turtle on road near Khooni Nallah along Jammu-Srinagar National Highway here today.
The ill-fated vehicle bearing registration number JK02AB-1881 was on its way to district Budgam from Lakhanpur, when the driver lost control over it and the vehicle turned turtle on road near Khooni Nallah along Jammu-Srinagar National Highway, resulting into injuries to seven migrant workers including a minor boy Touseef (12) who lost one of his arms.

Sources said the rescuers comprising the police, Army, CRPF and local volunteers evacuated the injured to District Hospital Ramban and later six of them were referred to Government Medical College and Hospital (GMCH) Jammu for specialised treatment.
The six injured persons, who were referred to GMCH Jammu, were identified as Mohammad Rafi (8), son of Nizak Tulla, Sitara, Touseef (12), son of Nizak Tulla, Sitara, wife of Mohammad Tahir, Rehan, son of Mohammad Tahir, Ali Hussain, son of Khan Hussain and Chanda, wife of Mohammad Zakir, all residents of Uttar Pradesh.
Ramsoo police has registered a case and a search is on for the driver who fled the scene after the accident.
