UDHAMPUR, July 4: Seven persons were injured in two different road accidents in Udhampur district, late this evening.
Four persons were injured when a Mahindra vehicle, bearing registration number JK14D-3723 rolled down in a deep gorge near Kandwal. The vehicle was on way from Chenani to Kandwal when it met with the accident.
Police rushed to the spot and took the injured persons to Sub District Hospital Chenani, where doctors referred them to District Hospital Udhampur. The injured were identified as Kanta Devi (40) wife of Chagar Singh, Kuldeep Chand (12) son of Shamshar Chand, Rattan Lal (45) son of Mali Ram and Kamlesh Devi (32) wife of Shamshar Chand.
In another road accident, a Maruti Van bearing registration number JK14-9101, plunged into deep gorge near Tajoor, resulting into injuries to three persons.
The injured, identified as Om Parkash (50) son of Munshi Ram of Tajoor, Makhan Lal (40) son of Danhi Ram of Jansal and Sarno Ram (65) son of Buti Ram of Tajoor, have been shifted to District Hospital Udhampur for treatment.
