7 injured in road accidents

JAMMU, Dec 14: Seven persons were injured in separate road accidents that occurred in different parts of Jammu region.
According to a police spokesperson, four persons were injured when their speeding Alto car bearing registration No JK02AR-8765 turned turtle near Environmental Park on Sidhra Road. The injured persons identified as Tahir Ishaq (18) son of Mohd Ishaq, resident of Channi Himmat, Imdad (18) son of Mohd Ashraf, resident of Channi Himmat, Mudasar (17) son of Muneer Hussain, resident of Narwal and Ijaz (17) son of Sharif Hussain, were rushed to Government Medical College and Hospital (GMCH), where their condition is stated to be stable.
In another incident, a car bearing registration No PB35R-4330 hit a minor girl while she was crossing a road near Kalka Colony (Bagh-e-Bahu), and left her seriously injured. The vehicle was seized and the accused driver arrested by Bagh-e-Bahu police while the injured girl identified as Meenakshi (6), daughter of Mohan Lal of Gorkha Nagar, was shifted to GMCH for treatment.
A mini-bus conductor namely Shubhum Sharma (17) son of Dharminder Sharma of Chak (Udhampur) also injured when his mini-bus turned turtle near Beerwah Pul in Udhampur district, after one of the tyres of the vehicle fell into a roadside drain. The injured conductor was shifted to GMCH for treatment.
A 38 years old bike rider namely Sukhdev Raj, son of Balwant Raj, a resident of Pounichak was hit and left injured by an unknown vehicle at Santra Morh near Gole Gujral area of city outskirts. He was also shifted to GMCH for treatment.
In all the cases, the concerned police have taken cognizance of the matter.
