JAMMU, Mar 6: Seven persons were injured when a minibus turned turtle near Ploura Talab, falling under the jurisdiction of Janipur police station.
According to police, minibus number JKO2Q-2327 coming from Roop Nagar and heading towards city turned turtle when got hit by a pole, resulting the injuries to commutors. The accident occurred due to negligence of driver as he could not control the steering. The police and local of the area helped in rescuing the injured to Government Medical College and Hospital (GMCH) where they are being treated when last report came in.
The injured admitted in GMCH are Sonia daughter of Ram, aged 17 years resident of Bantalab, Ajay son of Taramani, aged 28, Bhushan Lal son of Swaran Lal aged 30 years, resident of Kot Bhalwal, Rekha wife of Sham Lal Sharma resident of Bhawani Nagar, aged 30 years, Shamim Ali son of Shokat Ali aged 27, Santosh Kumar Sharma son of Thoru Ram resident of Shari Pandit, aged 50 years and Som Dutt Sharma son of Late O P Sharma of Seri Panditan, aged 53 years.
An FIR number 45/2014 under Section 279/337 RPC has been lodged at Janipur police station. The driver of vechile fled from the site of accident and police has launched search to nab him.
