MENDHAR, Aug 10: Seven persons were injured when an over loaded Tata Sumo skidded of the road and fell into a gorge in Salwah area today.
Reports said that the mishap took place this evening when the vehicle No. JK-02U/ 1744 was on way to Salwah from Mendhar. About 15 passengers were on broad. When it was nearing its destination, the driver lost control on the vehicle and it landed into a gorge.
All the seven injured passengers were removed to Mendhar hospital where one of them was referred to GMC hospital, Jammu. The injured were identified as Muneera Bi, Zahida Akhtar, Ghulam Rasool, Amtal Qadoos, Ishwar Javed, Tahir Shabir and menaz Akhtar. The police has taken cognizance of the matter.
