7 die of COVID in Kashmir

Srinagar, Sept 29: Seven persons died of COVID-19 in Kashmir today taking the number of deaths in Jammu and Kashmir to 1166 while Valley reported 441 cases of Novel Coronavirus, taking the total tally in J&K to 74095.
A 55-year-old man from Singpora in district Baramulla died today a week after he was admitted to SKIMS Soura.
An 85-year-old woman from Nihalpora Pattan in district Baramulla who was diagnosed with bilateral Community Acquired Pneumonia died at SKIMS today.
An 86-year-old man from Awoora in district Anantnag died at Chest Diseases hospital in Srinagar, eight days after he was admitted to the hospital.
A 60-year-old woman from district Budgam died three days after she was admitted to SMHS hospital with bilateral pneumonia.
With these deaths, the death toll in Jammu and Kashmir due to COVID-19 has gone to 1166 with 835 from the Valley.
Srinagar district with 289 deaths topped the list, Baramulla has 124 deaths, Budgam 82, Pulwama 69, Anantnag 63, Kulgam 43, Kupwara 67, Bandipora 37, Shopian 32 and Ganderbal 28.

Srinagar reported 222 cases, Budgam 29, Baramulla 62, Pulwama 24, Anantnag 11, Bandipora 22, Kupwara 36, Ganderbal 24, Kulgam 7 and Shopian 4.
An official said that 14,712 positive cases including 289 deaths and 12,285 recoveries are from Srinagar, 4,820 including 82 deaths and 3,774 recoveries are from Budgam, 4,335 including 2,931 recoveries and 124 deaths are from Baramulla, 3,909 including 3,408 recoveries and 68 deaths are from Pulwama, 3,503 including 63 deaths and 3,009 recoveries are from Anantnag, 3,385 including 2,870 recoveries and 37 deaths are from Bandipora, 3,575 cases including 2,692 and 67 deaths are from Kupwara, 2,868 including 2,452 recoveries and 28 deaths are from Ganderbal, 2,260 including 2,099 recoveries and 43 deaths are from Kulgam and 2,025 including 1,800 recoveries and 32 deaths are from Shopian.
With the new cases, the total number of positive cases in Kashmir division have reached to 45,392 including 37,320 recoveries and 833 deaths while as total number of positive cases in Jammu division have reached to 28,703 including 18,197 recoveries and 331 deaths.
Out of 1,600,606 samples processed, 1,526,511 tested negative while 74,095 have tested positive. Among them 17,414 are active, 55,517 persons have recovered and 1,164 persons have died.
Moreover, 635 more COVID-19 patients recovered and were discharged from various hospitals from Kashmir today.
