7 animals charred to death

Srinagar, Jan 20: At least  seven animals were burnt to death while the residential house was gutted in a fire incident in Jada village of Karnah in North Kashmir’s Kupwara district.
The fire incident took place last night in which residential house of Alif Din Poswal son of Mir Mohammad Poswal resident of Jada village of Karnah caught fire. The fire reduced the house to ashes and killed seven animals including a horse and cow. However,  the family members escaped unharmed.
The victim appealed to the authorities to provide them relief so that they can restart their life as the animals which were killed in the incident were their lone source of income.
Meanwhile,  a case under the relevant section has been registered in Police Station Tanghdar and the cause of the fire is being ascertained.
