64 buses of pilgrims to Kheer Bhawani flagged off

JAMMU, June 16: Hundreds of pilgrims left for holy shrine of Mata Kheer Bhawani Tulmulla from here to participate in the annual mela of Mata Kheer Bhawani tomorrow.
A total number of 64 buses carrying the pilgrims to holy shrine were flagged off by Relief and Rehabilitation Commissioner, R K Pandita from Nagrota Toll Post this morning.
Later talking to Excelsior Mr Pandita said that out of them 54 buses left for holy Shirne of Mata Kheer Bhawani Tulmulla while three buses carried pilgrims to the holy Shirne of Manzgam in Kulgam district of South Kashmir. One bus carried pilgrims to Kheer Bhawani shrine of Logripora in Anantnag district of South Kashmir and six buses carried pilgrims to Mata Kheer Bhawani Shirne of Tikker in Kupwara district of North Kashmir.
He said the arrangements for free to and fro transportation of these pilgrims were made by the Relief Organization on the consistent insistence of the community members who wanted to have the annual pilgrimage of Mata Kheerbhwani on the festival of Jeshtashtami.
Meanwhile, thousands of pilgrims from different parts of country have already reached Kashmir valley to participate in annual Kheer Bhawani mela tomorrow and the authorities have also made elaborate arrangements for the pilgrims, an official spokesman said.
He said the authorities have made arrangements for both boarding and lodging the yatris at Kheer Bhawani and all steps have been taken to tackle the rush of pilgrims. The arrangements have been made for their boarding in school buildings, tourist guest houses and other Government buildings, he added.
