DODA, May 11: The Forest teams today removed encroachment on 62 kanal area of Forest land by removing structures and also sealed an illegally operating stone crushers in Bhaderwah area.
Official sources said that Forest team led by DFO Bhaderwah, T P Singh, assisted by FPF men and other staff removed encroachment on 47 kanal Forest land in Compartment No. 3 of Chiralla Range of Bhaderwah Forest Division. This land had been grabbed by one Mohd Qasim, son of Bero. He has been booked by the Department.
In yet another operation, in Compartment No. 61 of Keller Range, the team removed encroachment on nearly 15 kanals of Forest land. RO Kellar was leading the operation.
Meanwhile, DFO Bhaderwah led by his staff today sealed a stone crusher operating illegally near the boundary of Compartment No. 19 of Kellar Forest Range. It belonged to M/s Dar Industries. The DFO booked Wasim Jalal, the owner of the stone crusher, hailing from Amira Nagar, Bhaderwah. The owner failed to produce the relevant documents and permission to operate the unit.
