NEW DELHI, May 9: Refined soya oil prices recovered by 0.33 per cent to Rs 769.80 per 10 kg in futures market today as speculators created fresh positions amid upsurge in demand at the spot market.
At the National Commodity and Derivatives Exchange, refined soya oil for delivery in June rose by Rs 2.95, or 0.38 per cent to Rs 769.80 per 10 kg with an open interest of 39,040 lots.
In a similar fashion, the oil for delivery in May contracts gained Rs 2.50, or 0.33 per cent to Rs 762.50 per 10 kg in 32,860 lots.
Analysts said fresh positions built up by traders due to pick-up in demand in the physical markets against restricted arrivals from growing regions, mainly led to rise in refined soya oil prices at futures trade. (PTI)
