6 kg cocaine worth crores recovered in Baramulla

SRINAGAR, Sept 18: Police today made a huge recovery of cocaine weighing about 6 kilograms in Baramulla district of north Kashmir.
The recovery worth crores of rupees was made on the disclosure of four persons who were earlier arrested by the police.
Police said that they arrested four suspected persons in old town Baramulla, and that the recovery of 6 packets of cocaine was made only after their disclosure.
Police also said that the market value of the drugs that were recovered is in crores and weights about 6 kgs. Click here to watch video
Those arrested have been identified as Bilal Mir son of Ghulam Mohammad Mir of Gulnar Park, Rafiq Sofi AKA Kanjwal son of Mohammad Shaban of Syed Karim, Tariq Bhuroo son of Abdul Rashid Bhuroo of Azad Gunj and Shabir Ahmed Mir son of Habibullah Mir of Ahan Ganderbal.
The police, in this regard, have registered a case under FIR no. 160/2020 under section 8/21-29 NDPS Act at Police Station Baramulla and further investigation has been set into motion.
The police have termed it as biggest recovery in the district so far.
