Srinagar Feb 2: A special team of Kupwara police arrested 5 notorious drug peddlers from Lolab and Karnah area of North Kashmir.
The drug pedlers have been identified as Mumtaz Ahmad Shah son of Mehboob Shah of Prada Karnah and Amreez Ahmad Badan son of Mohammad Sarwar of Amrohi Karnah and recovered 200 grammes of Brown Sugar from their possession.
During an another raid 3 notorious drug peddlers Ghulam Mustafa Mughal son of Mohammad Munawar Mughal of Gratnard Khurhama, Shabir Ahmad Chohan son of Ghulam Mohammad Chohan of Dardpora Lolab and Zahoor Ahmad Lone son of Ghulam Mohd Lone of Sogam were arrested and 6 Kgs of charas recovered.
A case under NDPS Act have been registered at Police Stations of Karnah, Sogam and Lalpora and the investigation is in progress.
