6 injured in road accidents

JAMMU, Dec 5: Six persons were injured in separate road accidents in different parts of Jammu region.
According to a police spokesperson a pedestrian namely Pardeep Kumar (50) son of Tara Chand, a resident of Kali Janni (Jammu) received serious injuries when a Zen car bearing registration No JK02AF-1611 hit him while crossing the road at flyover near Ranbir School. He was immediately shifted to Government Medical College and Hospital (GMCH), Jammu, where his condition is stated to be stable. The police has seized the vehicle and arrested its driver namely Vishnu Dutt, a resident of Balore (at present Shalamar Road).
A person was also injured at Baghyal Morh near Kalibari in Kathua district where two trucks collided with each other. The injured has been identified as Ahmed Hussain, son of Najir Ahmed, a resident of Basholi. He was rushed to Government hospital in Kathua, from where he was later referred to GMCH Jammu.
In another accident a minor boy namely Ladoo (17) son of Jang Raj and Sham Lal (45) son of Ganju Ram, both residents of Hiranagar, got injured when their respective motorbikes collided with each other at Hiranagar. Both of them were shifted to GMCH for treatment.
One Tarsem Kumar (27) son of Jang Raj, a resident of Bajalta and Rakesh Kumar (30) son of Thoru Ram also received minor injuries when their scooty got slipped at Mubarak Mandi area in Jammu. They were also undergoing treatment at GMCH.
In all the cases, the concerned police have taken cognizance of the matter.
