RAJOURI, Apr 2: Atleast six persons have sustained injuries in a clash over a land dispute in which one party allegedly fired some gun shots over the other party in village Dhanwan of tehsil Kalakote.
As per sources, two families in Dhanwan village of Kalakote entered in some verbal dual over some land dispute and situation soon took ugly turn after both the parties resorted to stone pelting over each other and later attacked with some sharp edged weapons. In this clash, which lasted for about half an hour, atleast six person have sustained injuries, few of who are critical while one party has alleged that people from the other group even fires some gun shots over them in which they sustained critical injuries. Villagers of the area later shifted all the injured to SDH Kalakote from where four have been referred to district hospital Rajouri and GMC&H Jammu for advanced treatment while rest are still admitted in SDH Kalakote.
Injured have been identified as Mushtaq Ahmed, son of Munshi Khan, Parveen Akhter, wife of Liyaqit Ali, Zahida Begum, wife of Mushtaq Ahmed, Shahnawaz Ahmed, son of Mohammad Khaliq, Mohammad Latief, son of Ghulam Ahmed and Saleema, wife of Younis, all resident of Dhanwan village falling under the jurisdiction of Kalakote police station.
Meanwhile police has registered two separate FIRs in the matter and investigation into the matter has been taken up by a team led by SHO Raghubir Sharma.
Sources said that there are reports that gun shots were also fired in the clash which triggered panic in the whole area.
