6 feared drowned, 5 injured in Kashmir highway accident

SRINAGAR : Six people were feared drowned and five injured when vehicle in which they were travelling in fell into the river Chenab on Srinagar-Jammu national highway this morning. Official sources said that a passenger vehicle en route to Srinagar from Jammu skidded off the road at Nehad, Ramban, and fell into the river. Five of the injured were rescued and shifted to Ramban hospital. Massive search operation was on to rescue those feared drowned.
