6 doctors charge-sheeted

POONCH, Oct 5: Six doctors from Sub District Hospital, Mendhar have been charge-sheeted for being un-authorisedly absent from duty on October 2, despite clear instructions from the Government to attend respective offices.
Official sources said that SDM Mendhar, Ramesh Kumar paid surprise visit to the Sub District Hospital, Mendhar at around 10.30 am and found six doctors absent from duty. He checked the register and sought explanation from the Block Medical Officer Mendhar, Dr Parvez Ahmed Khan and also asked him to provide him the roster and hold inquiry into the matter and charge-sheet the absentees.
The BMO charge-sheeted the absentee staff and forwarded the report to SDM on Saturday. The doctors against whom the action was recommended are- Dr Mohd Shafiq, Dr Amjad Fida, Dr Mohd Shabir, Dr Tariq Mehmood, Dr Dutta and Dr Rubina Kouser.
The SDM when contacted said that he visited the Hospital and found several doctors absent and asked BMO to hold inquiry and charge-sheet the staff members who are unauthorisedly absent from duty. The BMO has now forwarded the report and the action against six doctors has been recommended to the Deputy Commissioner, Poonch, the SDM maintained.
