Srinagar, Oct 12: The COVID 19 cases today dropped in Kashmir as 239 tested positive for the virus, taking the Jammu and Kashmir tally to 84031 while six persons died due to Coronavirus increasing the death toll in J&K to 1335.
Srinagar reported 106 cases, Budgam 38, Baramulla 21, Pulwama 12, Kupwara 21, Anantnag 10, Bandipora 10, Ganderbal 13, Kulgam 1 and Shopian 7.
With these fresh cases, the Jammu and Kashmir tally of virus affected people has risen to 84031 including 50382 in Valley.
With today’s fresh cases, Srinagar has now 16756 positive cases with 1689 active, 14748 recovered, 319 deaths; Baramulla has 4910 positive cases with 1483 active, 3297 recovered, 130 deaths; Pulwama reported 4247 positive cases with 261 active cases, 3912 recovered, 74 deaths; Kulgam has 2340 positive cases with 83 active, 2214 recoveries, 43 deaths; Shopian has 2101 positive cases with 108 active, 1961 recovered, 32 deaths; Anantnag district has 3801 positive cases with 382 active, 3349 recovered, 70 deaths; Budgam has 5437 positive cases with 691 active and 4657 recovered, 89 deaths; Kupwara has 3926 positive cases with 621 active, 3235 recovered, 70 deaths; Bandipora has 3696 positive cases with 344 active, 3310 recovered, 42 deaths and Ganderbal has 3168 positive cases with 257 active cases, 2881 recoveries and 30 deaths.
Moreover, 861 patients have recovered and were discharged from various hospitals in J&K including 326 from Valley.
With 861 more recoveries, the tally of total recoveries in Jammu and Kashmir has reached 72,706 which is 86.52 percent of the total cases.
The total number of active cases in Jammu and Kashmir are 9,992 including 5,919 from Kashmir division.
Six persons died of COVID in Kashmir today taking the death toll in Jammu and Kashmir to 1335.
Of these, three are from Srinagar and one each from Pulwama, Anantnag and Bandipora districts.
