6 Bn CRPF Volleyball Tournament concludes

KATRA, Dec 29: 6 Bn. CRPF Volleyball Tournament, under Civic Action Programme concluded with an impressive, well attended and colourful closing ceremony at SMVDU Multipurpose Stadium, here today.
The Tournament was organized with an objective to develop sports skill of youth and channelize their energy in a positive direction.
Sixteen Volleyball teams of nearby areas and local Panchayats participated in tournament to showcase their talent.
The final match played between Paloura Club and Shri Mata Vaishno Devi University, Kakrayal in which Kakrayal team defeated Phoura Club. Ajay Nanda, Minister of State for Finance and Planning was the chief guest on the closing ceremony, while Tariq Bhatt, SSP Reasi, Samir Mahaseth, MLA, Bihar Govt and SDM Katra were the guests of honour. Sushil Kumar Mishra,Comdt-6 Bn and local inhabitants, representatives of electronic and print media, officers and men of CRPF also witnessed the ceremony.
The chief guest said that CRPF is playing a vital role in social activities vis-a vis providing the security duties and wished that by the grace of Shri Mata Vaishno Devi 6th Bn CRPF will continue to carry out such type of programme/noble activities in future too.
He distributed trophy and a cash prize of Rs. 10,000 and Rs. 6,500 among winners and runners-up teams. To boost-up moral of the local youth sports kit such as Volleyball, Net, T/shirt, Shorts, sports shoes, socks etc distributed to all participating teams.
Sushil Kumar Mishra, Commandant -06 Bn,CRPF stated that players of team will not only become good and reputed citizen of India but will also play vital role in promoting nationalism, secularism, religious tolerance and will remain committed to development of nation in all fields.
