5th charge-sheet filed in ETT scam

JAMMU, Dec 13: In the much-publicized ETT scam, Crime Branch today produced supplementary charge-sheet for the session 2007-2009 before the Special Judge Anticorruption Jammu against eight accused persons.
These accused persons are Janak Raj Bharti, son of Om Parkash of Kathua (promoter of Jammu Educational Society ETT Institute Kathua), Udhay Bhanu Chib, son of Th Hari Singh of Paloura (promoter of Th J B S Institute of ETT Barnai), Ravi Kumar Gupta, son of C B Gupta of Kanji House (promoter of Shankaracharya ETT Institute), promoter of ACE Human Resource Development Institute of Education, Jammu, promoter of Baba Dharam Chand ETT Institute, Jammu, promoter of Jai Jagdambay ETT Kathua, promoter of Surabhi ETT Institute Kathua and Dr Sheikh Bashir Ahmed, the then Director Academics and Secretary BOSE Jammu (now retired).
“The investigation with regard to the remaining three sessions 2008-2010, 2009-2011 and 2011-2013 is going on”, a spokesman of the Crime Branch said, adding “departmental action has been recommended against one of the trustees of Maloofa Educational Trust namely Nazir Ahmed Choudhary, son of Haji Fakar Din of Sainik Colony.
According to SSP Crime Branch Jammu Mubassir Latifi, investigation of the case is being carried out year-wise / session-wise as the promoters and the Board officers involved in the first five academic sessions have been charge-sheeted. However, in the coming days after investigation into remaining three sessions, more people involved would be charge-sheeted in the court of law.
