58 stranded students reach Kargil from Kota

KARGIL, Apr 29: Fifty eight students of Ladakh reached Kargil from Kota, Rajasthan and were received by Additional Deputy Commissioner Kargil, Sonam Chosjor at TFC here today.
The students extended thanks to the administration for making arrangements for their evacuation from and expressed hope that other students and stranded pilgrims of Ladakh will also be evacuated soon.
ADC Kargil Sonam Chosjor, while talking to EXCELSIOR said that all the students reached safely at Kargil, adding that after lunch, 31 students will travel onwards to Leh and the remaining students from Kargil will go under Institutional Quarantine for 14 days.
He further said that the students from Leh will also go under Institutional Quarantine for 15 days once they reach their final destination.
It is pertinent to mention here that thousands of students from Ladakh are still stranded at different places of the country for which LAHDCs Kargil and Leh have written letters to UT Administration for evacuation as well as MP Ladakh has also assured for his support to evacuate the students and stranded people.
