On Wednesday morning, an encounter broke out between a few terrorists and security forces in Hajin area of Bandipora District of Jammu and Kashmir ,two terrorists have been gunned down by the security forces in an encounter which is underway. According to sources, following a tip-off, the security forces cordoned off the area and have sealed all the exits of the area. At least 3-4 terrorists are believed be hiding in the area.
Earlier, on October 9, the security forces gunned down the operational head of terror outfit Jaish-e-Mohammed (JeM), Khalid. He was gunned down after a fierce encounter at Jammu and Kashmir’s Baramulla district. According to a police official, cordon and search operation was launched by security forces following an input about the presence of terrorists in the area. The search operation converted into a gun battle as militants started to fire towards the search party. (Agencies)
