53 Bus Stand shopkeepers hand over keys of shops to JDA

JAMMU, Mar 2: Fifty-three shopkeepers of Bus Stand area today handed over keys of their shops to Jammu Development Authority for reconstruction in the presence of MLA Jammu East and chief whip of BJP, Rajesh Gupta.
The keys were handed over to JDA officials during a programme organized by General Bus Stand Shopkeepers’ Association in Bus Stand premises. In return, JDA would reconstruct all the shops and during the course of the construction, it will provide Rs 20,000 per month to each shopkeeper.
Rajesh Gupta, while speaking on the occasion, said, “It is a matter of great satisfaction that the Bus Stand project is well on its course and once completed would be a great landmark of the city of Jammu. The project would not only rid the city of its congestion but also generate employment avenues for the shopkeepers of the area. Once the place is rid of its clutter and congestion it would become a place of attraction for the people and tourists to visit and enjoy”.
The officials of the JDA who were present on the occasion include Director, Land Records, DS Katoch, Collector Narinder Kour, Tehsildar Kusum Abrol and Xen RP Gupta while members of the Shopkeepers’ Association present were president Madhu Gupta, Rakesh Abrol, Gulshan Gupta, Vishal Gupta, Narinder Kumar, Romy Gupta and Satish Uppal.
SP City, Vinod Kumar, SDPO City, Varun Jandyal and SHO Bus Stand, Rajesh Jasrotia, were also present.
