Copper futures ease 0.34% as demand falters
NEW DELHI, Aug 2:  Copper prices moved down by 0.34 per cent to Rs 406.80 per kg in futures trade today as speculators cut down their bets amid subdued demand at the spot market.
Copper for delivery in August shed Rs 1.40, or 0.34 per cent, to Rs 406.50 per kg, in a business turnover of 10 lots at Multi Commodity Exchange.
Likewise, the metal for delivery in November traded lower by Rs 1.20, or 0.29 per cent, to Rs 413.15 per kg in 10 lots.
Analysts said copper prices fell in line with a weak trend in industrial metals following sluggish demand from consuming industries at the domestic spot market. (PTI)
