504 gms heroin, Rs 5.14 lakh cash seized

RAJOURI, Feb 19: In a significant breakthrough against drug trafficking, the Nowshera Police recovered 504 grams of heroin and Rs 5.14 lakh in cash during a search operation at the residence of Jaswinder Kumar alias Sonu, at Lamberi village.
The operation was led by Inspector Arjun Magotra, SHO Nowshera, and I/C Police Post Lamberi, PSI Sahil Choudhary in case FIR No. 178/2024.
With this latest seizure, the total recovery in the case now stands at 11 kg 804 grams of narcotic substance and Rs 5.14 lakh in cash, marking a significant success in the ongoing crackdown on drug trafficking in Rajouri.
SSP Rajouri, Gaurav Sikarwar, emphasized the unwavering commitment of the Rajouri Police to eradicate drug trafficking networks. “We are determined to dismantle these illicit networks and will continue to take strict legal action against individuals involved in narcotics smuggling and distribution,” he added.
