JAMMU, June 6: Jammu Police has achieved a major success by recovering 50 stolen mobiles worth over Rs 5 lakh from different locations.
A police spokesman said that acting on several complaints lodged at different police stations of district Jammu regarding theft/missing of mobile phones, a special police team under the supervision of SDPO City East Zaheer Abass Jaffri and SDPO South Sachit Sharma were constituted to trace the stolen/missing mobile phones.
He said the teams led by SHOs/Incharge Police Posts of concerned police stations/police posts traced the phone locations and recovered 50 stolen/missing mobile phones worth more than 5 lakh rupees. Finally, recovered mobile phones were handed over to their owners by completing all the legal formalities.
The overall operation was done under the close supervision of SP City South Mamta Sharma.
