JAMMU, May 15: Police today seized 50 litres of illicit liquor while the bootlegger managed to escape from the spot.
A police spokesman said that, on specific inputs, police team from Nagri Parole police post laid a naka at Sumwan Morh and intercepted a scooter.
During checking, police seized 50 litres of illicit liquor, while the bootlegger identified as Shekhu alias Kalu, son of Hanso of Ghatti, district Kathua managed to escape from the spot.
A case under FIR number 172/14 under Section 48-A Excise Act stand registered at police station Kathua and manhunt has been launched to nab the accused.
