SRINAGAR, Nov 8: Inspector General of Police (IGP) operations of the Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) S S Sandu today said that there are 50-60 militants in Sopore and Baramulla areas of North Kashmir.
The IGP while interacting with the media persons in Sopore on the sidelines of a medical camp organized at Adipora in Sopore said that CRPF and other forces operating in Kashmir are working for creating peaceful atmosphere.
The IGP said that militants are trying to disturb the peace but the security forces will not allow it to happen. He sought people’s cooperation for fighting out militancy in the North Kashmir Sopore area that is considered to be hotbed of militancy.
