JAMMU, May 5: Principal Sessions Judge Jammu, R S Jain today awarded five years imprisonment to Rashpal Singh, a sympathizer of Lashkar-e-Toiba, who was arrested in the year 2008 for possessing Chinese grenade.
After hearing both the sides, Principal Sessions Judge observed, “from the facts and circumstance of the case and the evidence led by the prosecution it stands proved that accused Rashpal Singh was in possession of a grenade (prohibited ammunition as defined in Section 2(h) Arms Act)”.
Accordingly, the accused was convicted for offence under 7/25 Arms Act and awarded imprisonment for a period of five years.
