JAMMU, Oct 26: Continuing its drive against illegal mining and illegal transportation of construction material, teams of different Police Stations & Police Posts of district Samba seized five vehicles including two tippers and three tractor, which were being used for illegal transportation of the construction materials.
A Police team of PP Rakh Amb-Talli while performing patrolling duty in its jurisdiction, intercepted a tractor bearing Regd. No. JK21-2257 near Bain Glar for illegal transportation of construction material (Sand).
In another case police team of PP Mansar while performing routine vehicle checking naka at Highway Mansar intercepted a tipper bearing Regd. No. JK14F-3791 for illegal transportation of construction material (Sand).
In the jurisdictional area of PS Vijaypur, a tipper bearing Regd. No. JK02CB-4366 was intercepted by naka party at naka Rakh Barotian, Vijaypur for illegal transportation of construction material (Sand).
All the three vehicles were intercepted by Samba Police and were seized on spot and cases entrusted to Geology & Mining Department, Samba for further action.
Similarly, police team of PS Ramgarh while performing vehicle checking duty in its jurisdiction intercepted two tractors bearing Regd. No. JK21A-5060 & JK21A-6341 near Keso Manhasan, which was used to transport construction material illegally. The said vehicles were seized under section 207 MV Act at PS Ramgarh.
