JAMMU, Mar 19: At least five vehicles were seized for mining illegally in Jammu District on Sunday, police said.
They said one tractor trolley was seized by Police Station Bishnah, one tipper by Police Station Jhajjar Kotli, two tractor trolleys was Police Post Phallain Mandal and one tractor trolley by Police Post Sidhra.
The recoveries were made by SHO Bishnah, Inspector Vikram Sharma; SHO Jhajjar Kotli, Inspector Sikander Singh; incharge Police Post Phallian Mandal, PSI Ajesh Singh Jamwal, and incharge Police Post Sidhra, PSI Arun Kumar in their respective jurisdiction.
“DMO Jammu has also been intimated about the seizures made,” said police, adding that the vehicles seized were mining in violation of a High Court order.
