SRINAGAR, Apr 23: Five more candidates filed nomination papers from Srinagar Parliamentary constituency today.

The candidates, including Mirza Sajad Hussain Beigh, Jibran Dar, Shahnaz Hussain Bhat and Shamim Ahmad Parray filed their nomination papers as Independent candidates.
Younis Ahmad Mir submitted his papers as a candidate of Bharat Jodo Party.
The last date for filing of nomination papers is April 25. Scrutiny of the papers will take place on April 26.
The candidates have the option to withdraw their candidature by or before April 29. Voting is scheduled for May 13.
With two candidates having already filed their nominations on April 22, the number of candidates has gone upto seven.
