JAMMU, Apr 14: Indian Oil Corporation Limited, a Maharatna Public Sector Oil Refining and Marketing major launched 5.0 kg Free Trade LPG (FTL) cylinder for the first time in Jammu & Kashmir at M/s Pritam Variety Store, Kunjwani Chowk Jammu, today.
The launch was formally inaugurated by Sudeb Gupta, Executive Director, IOCL, Punjab State Office, Chandigarh. He said that Free Trade LPG cylinder would be a step forward in the area of customer service and convenience. Adding, he said that 5.0 kg Free Trade LPG cylinders can be procured from kiryana stores now onwards just on submission of Identity Proof and will be able any time at this kiryana store.
In case of 5.0 kg Free Trade LPG cylinder, a customer will be required to pay Rs 1000 as cost of cylinder plus applicable VAT which is one-time and in addition to this LPG cost of 5.0 Kg which is currently for month Rs 494.50 for Jammu market.
Citing the launch as Baisakhi Gift to customers of J&K, Gupta emphasized on the safe handling of LPG cylinders and said that these cylinders are standard equipments which are checked, filled and sealed at Indane Bottling Plant.
The launching was also attended by other Indian Oil dignitaries – M K Sinha, Senior Area Manager, IOCL Jammu, A K Wazir, Manager (LPG-S), Vijay Garg, Chief Divisional Manager (Consumer), Jammu and Mohinder Kumar, Plant Manager, IOC Jammu.
M K Sinha addressed the public present on occasion and said that more such facilities of 05.0 kg Free Trade LPG cylinders would be made available through Department/Kiryana Stores at Jammu as well as in Srinagar. He said that in FTL, the cylinder and regulator would also be sold to the customer rather than loaning it to them as was the case earlier.
The arrangement for the launch was done aesthetically by Neha Thapa, Assistant Manager (LPG-S), Jammu & Afaq Majid Lone, Deputy Manager (LPG-S), IOC, Jammu.
