KATHUA, Feb 16: Deputy Commissioner, Kathua, Rakesh Minhas handed over allotment letter for construction of War Memorial near Zila Sainik Board office Kathua to be constructed in memory of War Heros who have sacrificed their lives for the sake of motherland.
The five kanals of land has been allotted by district administration on the request of Ex-Servicemen and social activist and the allotment letter was handed over to Ex-Servicemen at nominated War Memorial location.
While addressing the gathering on the occasion, Deputy Commissioner Kathua, Rakesh Minhas said that there was demand of Ex-Servicemen in this connections and district administration immediately took action and completed the paper work. He said War Memorial will become an inspiration for youth and also mark of attraction for visitors and they can pay respect to the martyrs who scarified their lives in various wars in 1965, 1971 and Kargil War for the sake of mother land .The War Memorial will inspire the young generation to serve the country and for the country and salute war heros.
