JAMMU, Jan 3: Acting firmly against the encroachers, JDA conducted a major anti-encroachment drive in village Keran and Paloura of tehsil Jammu North and retrieved around 5 kanal State land from the encroachers.
During the drive, encroachments on JDA land in the shape of ‘pacca’ tin sheds and ‘jhuggies’ were removed/demolished and around 5 Kanal JDA land was retrieved. Thereafter, JDA sign boards were installed on the retrieved JDA land.
The drive was conducted successfully by the JDA in coordination with Police and Revenue authorities. It was conducted by the concerned tehsildar JDA under the control of Director Land Management JDA and overall supervision of Vice Chairman JDA.
“Through such encroachment drives, a clear message has been given to all such miscreants/land grabbers to refrain from trespassing and encroaching JDA land else they will have to face tough action from the JDA,” a spokesperson of JDA said.
