MENDHAR, Sept 19: State Forest department today retrieved 5 kanal land in Mendhar Sub Division of district Poonch.
Official sources said that Range Forest Officer Mendhar, Arif Mehmood Mirza, conducted an eviction operation in Compartment No. 178/M of Narol area, in Tehsil Mendhar of District Poonch and demolished two Kachha structures with tin sheets and evicted the land under encroachers namely- Qadeer Hussain and Mohd Farooq, sons of Mohd Shafi and Mohd Sadiq son of Feroz Din, residents of Narol, in Mendhar and also retrieved five Kanals of forest land.
The operation was conducted with the active assistance of SHO Mendhar, Tahir Khan, Magistrate on duty Mohd Afzal- Naib Tehsildar Mendhar and officials of Forest Protection Force Gamma Unit J-7 Poonch. This successful operation was conducted under the overall supervision of Conservator of Forests West Circle, Rajouri B Mohan Dass and DFO Poonch Mohan Choudhary.
