5 injured in road mishaps

SRINAGAR, May 20: Five persons were injured in different road accidents across the Kashmir valley.
A Police spokesperson said that an unidentified Maruti car hit a Motorcycle bearing registration number JK01K/0720 at Peer Bagh, Srinagar, resulting in injuries to motorcyclist Aqib Ahmad Kumar, 16, son of Mohammad Yousuf of Rawalpora, Srinagar and two pillion mates. All the injured were shifted to hospital for treatment. A case has been registered in this regard.
A Santro car bearing registration number JK22/2926 driven by Habibullah Beigh, son of Ghulam Nabi, of Aalochi Bagh, Srinagar collided with a Tipper bearing registration number JK01G/6879 at Sangam near petrol pump, Anantnag. The Tipper driver Ashiq Hussain Wagey, son of Mohammad Ramzan, of Zawoora, Shopian and Saima, 14, daughter of  Gulzar Ahmad Mir of Aaloochi Bagh, Srinagar who was travelling in the Santro were injured in the mishap. The injured were shifted to hospital for treatment. A case has been registered in this regard.
A Motorcycle bearing registration number JK03/8172 hit and injured a pedestrian Qasim Jan, 73, of Thamankote, Dooru at Sarnal K.P Road, Anantnag. The injured lady was shifted to hospital where from she has been referred to SMHS Srinagar for further treatment. A case has been registered in this regard.
