UDHAMPUR, Aug 1: Five persons were injured in three different road accidents in Pancheri, Majalta and Udhampur area today.
A police official said that a Motor-cycle bearing registration number JK14A-6838 collided with a WagonR Car No. JK02CH-1877 at Gole Mela area of Udhampur town. The bike rider and two others were injured in the mishap.
The locals of the area removed the injured persons to District Hospital, Udhampur where doctors referred them to GMC Jammu Hospital view of serious condition. The injured persons were identified as Chotu Ram (30), son of Shanker Dass of Rathan, his five year old daughter- Vanshika and Bharti (28), daughter of Shato Ram of Jaganu.
Meanwhile, one person was injured when an Ambulance rolled down into a gorge in Pancheri area today. The mishap took place then the private ambulance bearing registration No. JK02BD-0873, was on its way to Jammu from Pancheri. The vehicle was returning to Jammu after dropping a patient at Kultiyar village.
The villagers shifted the injured driver to PHC Pancheri. He has been identified as Romi Sharma, resident of Bakshi Nagar, Jammu.
A driver was injured when his Tipper No. JK14A-9607 skidded off the road and fell into a gorge in Manwal area. The injured driver was shifted to PHC Majalta by police. He has been identified as Bittu Ram, son of Kamal Ram, resident of Kathar village in Manwal. The police has taken cognizance.
