5 injured in accidents

Srinagar, Aug 19:  Five persons were injured in different road traffic accidents across the Valley today.
A police spokesman said two persons were injured when the motorcycle PB18K/2107 hit them at Bidhard in Anantnag district.
The spokesman said they have been identified as Irfan Ahmad Awan son of Mohammad Hussain of Bidhard and a pillion Shakir Ahmad Malik son of Gulzar Ahmad of Draway. Both the injured have been shifted to a hospital for treatment, he said.
A pedestrian, Fardeen Ahmad Shalla son of Nissar Ahmad of Uranhall Bijbehara in district Anantnag was injured when a Tata Sumo  JK03A/0467 hit him, the spokesman said. He said Shalla has been shifted to a hospital for treatment.
A boy, Mohammad Afzal son of Mohammad Maqbool Bhat of Hanjiwara Pattan was hit by a Tata Sumo bearing registration number JK01C/3036 at Hanjiwara in district Baramulla. The spokesman said he was shifted to JVC hospital, Srinagar, for treatment.
In a collision between a BSF vehicle bearing registration number PB-08AG/9499 and a maruti Car bearing registration number JK03B/2969 at Delhi Public School crossing at Panthachowk, the Maruti driver was inured. He was shifted to SMHS, Srinagar, for treatment, the spokesman added.
