5 injured in 2 road accidents in Samba

SAMBA, Feb 7: Four people were seriously injured in a road accident that took place near Chichi Mata Temple on Jammu -Pathankot National Highway near here, today. Three of the injured were referred to GMC Jammu from District Hospital Samba after first aid.
According to police a Scorpio car reached near Chichi Mata temple where the driver lost balance over the car and it overturned. The car fell on the other side of the road and collided with a motorcycle coming from opposite side due to which two people riding on the motorcycle and two car borne persons were injured.
They were immediately rushed to the District Hospital Samba where after seeing the condition of three of them was critical they were referred to GMC Jammu. In this context Samba Police has registered a case and started further investigation. The fourth one is under treatment at DH Samba.
The injured persons have been identified as Tabish Rafquee, S/o Abdul Rashid R/o Haiderpura Srinagar, Farida W/o Rouf Deva R/o Budgam Srinagar, Suraj Raj S/o Avtar Singh R/o Bihar and Rajinder Paswan S/o Ram Vilas Paswan R/o Bihar.
Meanwhile, one pedestrian was injured in a road accident on National Highway at Vijaypur, Main Chowk of Samba. The injured person was identified as Nanak Chand (75yrs),  S/o Bhagat Ram  R/o. Poonch House, Talab Tillo Jammu.
Accident occurred when the pedestrian was crossing the road and was hit by one Maruti car bearing Registration Number JK02AP 1148 at Main Chowk, Vijaypur which was on its way from Jammu to Kathua side. Locals and police rushed to the spot and brought to the emergency Hospital Vijaypur where doctor referred him to GMC Jammu for further treatment. In this regard Police have registered a case and started further investigation.
