5 injured as cylinder explodes near power project

RAMBAN, Nov 15: Five people were injured when an oxygen cylinder exploded outside a store at Baglihar Hydroelectric Project in Chanderkote.
The incident took place when workers were busy unloading cylinders from a truck, a police source said.
Three workers, a security guard and an official were injured in the explosion and were taken to a District Hospital.
The injured have been identified as Maintenance Wing Officer Satish Sharma of Bulandshahar Uttar Pradesh, security guard Ravinder Singh, son of Dhoni Singh of Punjab, workers–Mohan Lal, son of Prem Nath and Faqir Chand, son of Hem Raj, both residents of Kunfer Chanderkote, District Ramban and Kishori Lal, a resident of Himachal Pardesh.
The condition of Satish Sharma is critical and he is being shifted to Government Medical College and Hospital (GMCH) Jammu for specialized treatment.
A case under relevant sections has been registered at Chanderkote Police Station and investigation started.
