POONCH, Sept 18: Five persons were injured, one of them seriously when a passenger bus was rolled down in the fields in Mandi area of Poonch today.
Official sources said that mishap took place when the ill-fated bus bearing registration number JK-12/1826 was on way to Poonch from Mandi. When the bus reached near Siklo village, it went out of control and rolled down into fields.
The people of the area rushed to the spot immediately after mishap and shifted the injured persons to Mandi hospital. Four of them were provided first aid at Mandi while one seriously injured passenger, Ashiq Hussain (60), son of Abdullah Joo, resident of Salunian village was referred to District Hospital Poonch. He was being shifted to GMC Hospital Jammu, the police said.
Mandi Police has taken cognizance of the matter.
