5 elected members extend support to new DGPC

JAMMU, July 13: The five elected members from the other group having patronage of Dera Nangali Sahib have extended full cooperation and support to the new Jammu District Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee (DGPC).
In a joint press conference here today these elected members Avtar Singh Khalsa from Bishnah, Ramneek Singh from Jammu East, Fatesh Singh from Gadigarh, Darbinder Singh from Gole Gujral,  and Raja Singh from Darsopur Simbal Camp, while extending gratitude to the Sikh community members for support assured them to act as watch dogs of the community. They said that they would work as Sewadars of the community.
These elected members from the rival group, extended their full support to the elected committee of the Jammu DGPC in all constructive decisions but at the same time they shall but allow the interests of the community to be compromised by the office bearers of the DGPC for any political interests.
The members further said that they will work hard to achieve the targets set forth in the manifesto issued by them during recent elections. They said that Shiromani Dera Nangali Sahib  is the epitome of Sikhism and the Sikhs in J&K are made to follow the principles by the Dera. They shall ensure that Maryada of Sri Akal Takhat Sahib is followed in letter and spirit by the community.
They further said that audit of the audit of the past 13 years has to be got conducted by a duly constituted team of the Government auditors and the funds misutilized and also other anomalies committed in the past be brought to the notice of the community for ensuring transparency in the affairs.
