JAMMU, Aug 2: Domana and Gharota Police arrested five drug peddlers along with cannabis.
As per police sources, on specific inputs, a team from Police Station Domana led by PSI Anoop Kumar laid a naka and intercepted a motorcycle bearing registration number JK02AB-5328 which was coming from Akhnoor side.
During frisking, police team recovered 120 grams cannabis from the possession of the vehicle and arrested the rider.
The arrested person was identified as Naresh Kumar, son of Om Prakash of Patniyal Tehsil Marh District Jammu.
A case under FIR Number 209/2021 under Section 8/20 NDPS Act has been registered at Police Station Domana and investigation started.
The arrest and recovery took place under the supervision of SHO Domana Inspector Mahesh Sharma, SDPO Domana Kosheen Koul and SP Rural Sanjay Sharma.
Meanwhile, a team from Police Station Gharota led by SHO Inspector Khyati Maan Khajuria laid a naka and intercepted three persons riding on a motorcycle and a pedestrian.
During checking, police team recovered of 43 grams of cannabis from the possession of four persons including pedestrian and arrested them.
The arrested persons were identified as Rashpaul Chand, son of Dwarka Nath, Bailli Ram, son of Soba Ram and Tarseem Lal, son of Sita Ram, trio residents of Village Showa and Pawan Kumar, son of Chunni Lal of Galali Sarote.
A case under FIR Number 72/2021 under relevant Sections has been registered at Police Station Gharota and investigation started.
The arrest and recovery was made under the supervision of SDPO Akhnoor Varun Jandial and SP Rural Sanjay Sharma.
