POONCH, Feb 15: Nine Health department employees including five doctors of Sub District Hospital Surankote were today placed under suspension by the Sub Divisional Magistrate.
Official sources said that SDM Surankote, Mohd Afzal Mirza paid surprise visit to the local hospital on the public complaints at around 11.30 am today and found nine Health department employees absent from duty. The youth of the area were already staging protest outside the BMO office there.
The SDM placed all the nine absentee employees under suspension. They are- Dr Beema Sheikh, Dr Meenakshi, Dr Reema, Dr Rabia Tabassum, Dr Farjan, Vikrant Bali- Lab technician and three clerks, Mohd Hafiz, Riaz Ahmed and Babu Hayat.
