RAMBAN, Oct 29: Two persons including a five-days-old toddler were killed, while 7 others received injuries when the Eco car they were traveling in skidded off the Power House-Rajgarh link road and rolled down in Kana Batti area here today.
As per reports, a Eco car was on its way to Rajgarh from Chanderkote, when the driver lost control over the vehicle and it rolled down from Power House-Rajgarh link road in Kana Batti area, resulting into on the spot death of two persons including a 5-days old toddler and injuries to 7 others.
On getting information, personnel from nearby Army Unit rushed to the spot and started rescue operation. Later, police and locals also joined them.
All the injured persons were rushed to District Hospital Ramban, from where they were referred to Government Medical College and Hospital (GMCH) Jammu for specialized treatment.
The deceased were 5-days-old boy of Haleema Begum of Rajgarh and a man, whose identity was not, ascertained when last reports were compiled.
The injured were identified as Haleema Begum, wife of Muzaffar Hussain of Rajgarh, Firdous Ahmed, son of Nabi Batt of Chakka District Doda, Rustam Ali, son of Sher Mohammad of Rajgarh, Romesh Kumar, son of Dalbir Singh of Kashtigarh District Doda, Hafeeza Begum, wife of Sher Ali of Rajgarh and Zaffer Ahmed, son of Noor Mohammad of Rajgarh.
A case under relevant Sections has been registered at Ramban Police Station and investigation started.
