JAMMU, June 8: Police in Kanachak area claimed today they have charge-sheeted five individuals in a case of assault and criminal trespassing.
They said the charge-sheet was presented against Pitchi Ram, Kanta Devi, Ashu Devi, Sashi Bala, and Arun Kumar, all residents of Assarwan, Bhalwal, Kanachak.
The accused were booked on the complaint of one Gourav Bhagat, a resident of Janipur, Jammu, who was allegedly attacked by the accused with sharp-edged weapons on May 13, 2022, with an intention to eliminate him.
Bhagat was also robbed of his gold chain and Rs 4270 in cash. Bhagat approached Police Station Kanachak only after obtaining an MLC from SDH Marh, followed by which the investigation in his case was entrusted to Sub Inspector Bishan Singh of Police Station Kanachak.
The investigation of the police has finally culminated with charge-sheet filed against five people before the court of the law.
