5 bovines rescued, 2 held

JAMMU, June 6: Patnitop police rescued five bovine animals and arrested two smugglers.
As per police sources, police team from Patnitop police post laid a naka and intercepted a Tata mobile bearing registration number JK14C-1462.
During checking, police rescued five bovine animals, which the smugglers were carrying towards Srinagar from Jammu without permission.
Two accused namely Mohammad Hanif, son of Mohammad Musa of Arnia, district Jammu and Subhash Chander (driver), son of Krishan Lal of Jib, district Udhampur have been arrested.
A case under FIR number 46/14 under Section 188 RPC and 3 PCA Act has been registered at police station Batote and investigation started.
Police team headed by SI Mohammad Irfan made the arrest under the supervision of DySP Narinder Parihar, DySP Headquarter Ramban and SP Ramban Javed Ahmed Mattoo.
