UDHAMPUR, Feb 8: Udhampur Police today foiled an attempt of bovine smuggling and rescued five animals under the jurisdiction of Police Station Rehmbal.
Reports said that a Police party from Police Post Tikri laid a surprise naka on the National Highway near Mand and intercepted some suspects who were carrying five bovine animals towards Kashmir on foot. On seeing the Naka Police party, suspects fled away from the spot leaving the bovine animals.
